We invite you to join us at Sacred Mountain Waters to honor our ancestors and the season of autumn as we gather in community, song, and prayer at this majestic local sanctuary.

Ancestral Remembrance & Honoring

Across every culture and spiritual lineage on Earth, humanity has always honored ancestors as a sacred tradition. They are woven into us through our blood, our wounds, our gifts, and our unfinished prayers.

On the medicine wheel, autumn is grounded in the sacred direction of the west, the place of the water, where we turn to face those who have walked before us.

This is the most potent time of the year to honor those who have transitioned and we see this across cultures and continents with the celebrations of Samhain, Dia de Los Muertas, All Souls Day, and countless others around the world. In this season of letting go, we open our hearts to our ancestors, our most beloveds, the forgotten, and the many unknown.

Our weekend will conclude shortly before the Full Moon in the waters of Pisces on Monday October 26th, illuminating the threshold between worlds.

Join us as we sit with grief and love as we listen to the voices of the ancestors.

Please Bring: Sleeping nest, potluck dish, water bottle, swimsuit & towel, ceremony attire, eye mask, and ear plugs.

We will create a group ancestor altar so please bring photos of loved ones who have passed or any other articles/memoria of those near and dear who have transitioned. You are welcome to bring Potluck dishes inspired by favorite dishes of deceased family and friends.

SMW Venue & Arrival: You are welcome to camp on the land if you’d like. This season at Sacred Mountain Waters is absolutely beautiful. We will begin the ceremonies at night both on Friday and Saturday. We request that no one leave until the next morning after ceremony is complete.
